{Olsenboye dress, Target flats}

First day of summer! (Holy crap, I can't believe I'm saying that in April! Oh, college.) Well, I spent my first day off dyeing my hair (dark brown to caramel ombre- will share later) and lazying around the house.  Basically, I can't wait until the weather is warm enough to jump into this pool.

What are everyone's plans for summer?

And check out all of my inspiration here:

I cannot believe I am done with my first year of college! There have been many ups and downs but it has certainly been an exciting, new learning experience. Right now, I can't wait till summer to relax at the beach, go shopping, work at my 3 (!) internships (just approved for credit through the journalism school- yay!), take in Bonnaroo for the second time, catch up on some much-needed sleep, and, of course, blog!

Happy Summer!

Don't forget to follow all of the adventures!

{Francesca's dress, St. Johns Bay coat, Behnaz Sarafpour for Target heels,
Kate Spade New York bag}

A little throwback for this lovely (read: stressful!) Thursday.  I wore this outfit to my father's birthday dinner in February, back when the beautiful Florida weather was arctic.  I absolutely love these colors together- camel should get more use in the warmer months; it's one of my favorite colors.  Also, I have yet to express my obsession with Kate Spade on the blog, but she's by far my favorite designer.

Happy finals to all!

Don't forget to take advantage of Kate Spade's 15% off in-store student discount!

{DKNY top, Earl jeans}

For those of you who don't know, yesterday was Record Store Day, which I would describe as Small Business Saturday for vinyl music shops.  It's a very cool event where numerous famous and lesser known artists release and rerelease material. I picked up a previously unreleased 7" of "Wigwam" by Bob Dylan and the latest Strokes album on vinyl. (It's no secret that my favorite band of all time is The Strokes and, yes, I already own the CD of "Comedown Machine" but what can I say? I'm obsessed.)

Happy Sunday!

{DKNY jeans, American Eagle flats}

Apologies for all of the pictures of my feet, but the boyfriend is a reluctant photographer. Thankfully, it is not yet pedicure-required weather in the Sunshine State so I can show off my flats. (After finals I'll hopefully be able to get some pretty outfit pictures, face included.)

Oh boy, I cannot wait till summer, when I can wear sundresses and open-toe wedges.

Have a great week, all!

{H&M pants, Lucky Brand shoes, Forever 21 tank, Oscar de la Renta for Target bag}

For starters, my boyfriend calls these my, "Seventies wallpaper pants." Like I said earlier, I am super addicted to cropped pants right now.  (I also cannot stop drinking iced coffee at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, but that's another story.) These pants have been in my closet for months now and I have only worn them a handful of times.  They're so patterned and loud, it's difficult to pair things with them in colors other than black and maroon, but I thought a nice splash of peach would work.

P.S. The Paris Wife is delicious.

Dots on Dots

{Earl jeans, Anne Klein Sport flats}

My new favorite thing is cropped pants that hit at the ankle.  After scouring my closet, I've found that I have a total of 4 pairs and ever since, have been wearing them non-stop.  For shorties like me, these digs are perfect.  Also, I have finally caved and bought boat shoes.  I feel like since these are shiny they're saved from being too preppy.

Side note: Another perk of college is the free New York Times all day, every day.

{Liz Claiborne watch; Top: vintage bracelets; Bottom: BCBG bracelet}

Next to a laptop and a smartphone, the final thing you need for college is a bit of a throwback.  You need a watch. trust me, when you're sitting in your 150 year old classroom trying to impress your TA with your political expertise, the last thing you want to do is pull out your phone every 5 minutes.  Plus, watches make an adorable, intellectual fashion statement! What more could you ask for?
